ASOS Haul

Ever since pay day arrived I had spent the week saving items on the ASOS app, gradually they accumulated over the week until I decided to place my order. Spending an amount that earnt me next day delivery I didn’t know whether to be proud or panic! Just a tip for my fellow ASOS lovers they offer a deal where you pay £9.95 and for the rest of the year get free next day delivery!

For anyone who has shopped with or browsed ASOS before, then you know that they are amazing at making the clothes look good on the model! So when I spend the week imagining myself arriving to work looking 10/10 in my new dress I’m usually disappointed. However, this wasn’t the case at all this time! Ordering 8 items and keeping 7 (I somehow got 2 of the same top), I was left feeling very chuffed and debating whether to order more…

ASOS High Waisted Skinny Cropped Trousers

I had previously ordered these trousers before in a size 14 (I’m usually a 10) as I tend to find that skinny trousers usually come up too tight on my legs and leave me with skin folds over the waist band, however the 14 was wayyyy to big as I could fit both my legs in one! Deciding to risk it, I ordered a size 8 this time around and they fit perfectly! Fitting my legs without squeezing them in all the wrong places and no muffin top in sight! If you’re like me and struggle to find a flattering pair of work trousers that fit both your legs and waist I would highly recommend these, I already intend to purchase more colours!

ASOS 100% Cotton Contrast Stripe Red Long Sleeve Top &Short Pyjama Set

As sad as this may be, these PJ’s were probably what I was most excited to receive; nothing makes me feel more in control of my life than a nice set of matching PJ’s! I ordered the set in a size small (8-10) and they fit like a dream, the top fits my arms nicely but doesn’t grip and finishes just above my hip bones, giving a flattering semi-cropped look. As for the shorts, they have an elasticated waste so they can stretch for those nights where you ate that extra slice of pizza but still grips to your waist enough that you don’t fear they’ll fall down. As I live at home I always struggle to find PJ shorts that don’t leave me with half my butt cheeks hanging out for the family to see, but these are the perfect length and are probably the most flattering pair of shorts I own!

Brave Soul Rib Crew Neck Top

If you were to imagine a basic long sleeve black top, this is it! I ordered this top with the intention to wear it to work with skirts and trousers so I don’t look too formal but still professional. Once again I ordered this in a size 8 (I suggest ordering either you current size or a size down with ASOS depending on how you like your clothes to fit) and it fit nicely,, a little long on the arms which usually isn’t an issue for me but this didn’t bother me as I usually roll my sleeves up to three quarter lengths.

Monki Ruffle Hem Trousers

The next pair of trousers I ordered I had been looking for for ages, when it comes to ruffle hems they’re either too big or too small and end up clinging to my calf, so I hit gold when I purchased these! Due to these being high wasted they gave the illusion of a more hour glass figure (which I certainly do not have!) and were fitted to my thighs but continued down to my calf so they were looser where the ruffles start (I ordered size 8). These trousers can definitely be worn out out, just pair it with a “nice top” and some heels and you’ll be set!

Parisian Frill Gingham Skirt

River Island Window Pane Zip Front Mini Skirt

Monki Faux Leather Mini Skirt

All skirts that I ordered were in a size 8 and can be worn both formally and casually! When it comes to skirts I’m very picky as I find that they can make my legs look larger than what they are or give me what I like to call a “long back” (no bum). Having worn pencil skirts to work in the past I thought it was time to mix up my wardrobe but also have skirts that I can also wear out out, as I’ve just recently turned 18 and nothing frustrates me more than discovering I have “nothing to wear” just an hour before I have to leave! Please be warned that these skirts do come up quite short, about mid-thigh so I would recommend pairing them with a pair of black or coloured tights (to work). I truly believe that these skirts will complement any shape or size as they cut off that part of the thigh that no one seems to like (if you know you know) but still show enough leg that they appear long and slim!
