As we slowly approach the end of May it got me thinking about what new purchases I have made this month and what I have overall been enjoying! In today post I’ve plucked up a list which contains new finds, ride or die products and a few that have made my life 10 times easier!(All items that are mentioned will be linked below)
River Island White T
This simple white T is a twist on your everyday basic shirt, which is why it caught my eye. The versatility of this product is why I love it so much. When I first purchased this top I styled it with my favourite pair of black (more grey at this point) skinny jeans, along with my white puma trainers and Topshop leather jacket. This created an effortless look that was casual yet fashionable, what more could you ask for! After rocking this look on every occasion I could find, I discovered its second use, work wear! Being inspired by my casual look I paired the T with my slim fit smart trousers along with a pair of matte black loathers, when it comes to work wear I find it hard to find items of clothing that are formal enough that I can wear yet still represent my street style, personally I think this shirt does this perfectly and would recommend it to anyone that has the same struggle!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
After owning this product for just 8 days, I’m not ashamed (maybe a little bit) to admit that I’m half way through this product! As mentioned in my previous post (Project Clear Skin) ever since starting work my skin has turned against me, so I decided to invest in some high quality skin care. With the Mario Badescu Acne Control Kit, most products are designed to dry out imperfections, which it certainly does! But this often leaves me with dry patches and my skin feeling tight. This problem has easily been solved with my second favourite of the month which is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray, designed to hydrate irritated skin as well as set makeup this product is a quick fix for those days where you skins a bit on the
dryer side. This product comes in two sizes 4 Oz and 8 Oz, I currently own the 4 Oz and take this with me to work when I need a dash of life added to my face. This product also leaves your skin looking dewy and matte at the same time, who knew that was possible! So if you’re looking a fan of Mario Badescu skin care and are yet to try the facial spray I highly recommend that you give this product a go!
French Connection Body Spray
I’ve never been one to carry a bottle of body spray with me, in fact I’ve never purchased my own body spray, usually if I own one it’s because a family member has brought me one for Christmas or my birthday. However, this is the product is one like no other! Besides the fact that I’m obsessed with the simplicity of the packaging, this product is the perfect size to fit into any bag I take with me as well as having an amazing scent. When it comes to perfume/body sprays or even deodorant I’ve never been one to enjoy florally scents, so this product is perfect. The description of this bottle states “Leaves your skin delicately fragranced with the refreshing body spray, with hints of vanilla, oriental and floral notes”. When reading this the “floral notes” part surprised me as I’ve never got hints of floral, however the vanilla stands out, mixed with a crisp refreshing fragrance (never been the best at describing scents). When wearing this body spray, more often than not I will receive complements on the scent, a few friends even went and brought their own!
Pulsin Chocolate Brownie
For just over a year now I have been vegetarian and have also just been told that I can no longer consume dairy products. This means that I’ve completely changed my diet and have been on the lookout for products that not only make me feel good but taste good, for the most part this was very easy for me to do, however, chocolate is the only thing that I’m still yet to hit gold with, at least until now! I recently took a trip to a shop called
“Planet Organic” when I noticed “Pulsin Chocolate Brownie”. This totally vegan product has changed my life forever; my personal favourite is the chocolate orange, which taste just like a Terrys Chocolate Orange! Ironically I’m snacking on one while I write this section…. for research purposes.
Coconut is more of an all-time favourite than a monthly favourite! One of my least favourite things to do is remove makeup, especially mascara. Ever since I can remember mascara has always been a struggle to remove and I’ve never known
why, I’ve tried all products all methods yet I’m still left with product on my eyelashes after two days without applying any! As a last resort I attempted to remove my makeup with coconut oil and within ten seconds all tracesof makeup are removed without having to tug or pull at your skin or eyes! To use the product I simply take a chunk out the jar and rub it together between my finger so it melts slightly, the I simply rub it on my eyes and skin and to finish off I rinse my face with warm water. Since using coconut oil as a makeup remover I have found that my skin is softer as well as well as having a more dewy look and that my eyelashes have grown! So if your someone who hates removing makeup as much as I do this one’s for you!
